The IUSG has in the past organized a popular basic course in uveitis. It was aimed at young ophthalmologists who just completed their basic training and who are interested or curious about uveitis. Many have gone on to an illustrious career in ocular inflammation. In one week, a comprehensive overview of uveitis - diagnosis, management, current research topics are covered. Participants are asked to work in small groups to solve enigmas, with an emphasis being placed on developing a systematic approach to the evaluation of each case, the appropriate use of multimodal imaging, and rational approach to therapy.
